Sometimes as entrepreneurs, we get so caught up on fads, trends, and being hip, that we lose sight of our brand. That’s why today’s edition of the A to Z Branding & Website Tips is letter C, which stands for Consistency!
Why is consistency important? Trust me, as a designer, I want all the colors, textures, and patterns on a website. I want GIFS with quotes on female empowerment and hashtags all around.
Here’s where it goes wrong:
When you stop shifting your brand elements too much and too often, your business starts looking indecisive, messy, and your audience gets confused. All lead to distrust from potential clients.
Look at the brands that are making it big. From Target to Apple, they stick to their color schemes, branding elements, and even fonts. Rarely do they shift and when they do, it still feels like THEM to the consumer.
Everyone has the one thing that’s tempting to change out. For me: color schemes! I love color palettes and creating them for clients makes me want to change out my own. Every. Single. Time.
