FAQs
How do I know if you’re the right team for my website needs?
Here’s the deal: there are tons of website creators out there. When deciding who is best for you, make sure to think about which personalities you jive with the best. For me, talking about the latest Handmaid’s Tale episode and drinking margaritas on a hot summer Friday is part of who I am. Maybe you prefer to only talk business. Point being? Find your people not just by how they code but whether you’d be willing to go out and grab some tacos after a meeting.
How long does it take to create my website?
Totally depends on the site and whether you’ve got all content ready. Most sites get built in about 3 months. The biggest thing that could hold us back? Content not being ready while I’m building out the website. If I had all the content and images? About a month for most websites would be sufficient.
Can I update my website after launch?
Of course! My goal is to empower you to take control of your website - whether you have a team or not. I’ve run across situations where new clients are just discovering that their site doesn’t allow them access to edit (only to the ex-designer) or that it was built in such a way that is overcomplicated and hard to change. Not me. I even offer one-on-one website trainings after certain packages.
Are references available?
Definitely. Check out the testimonials on my reviews page, throughout my website or on my Google Business page. Keep in mind though, nobody likes getting random phone calls. Out of respect to my previous clients, I only provide references after I know I’m your chosen website designer.
How much does a website cost?
OOF! Such a hard question - but the answer is always: it depends. I’ve quote websites as a fixed project fee that’s divided into monthly payments. A couple factors go into the pricing, such as, SEO, target market analysis, competition analysis, complexity of functionality, size of the site, integrations, etc.
Do you write the content for the site?
Not at this time but I have my preferred list of copywriters to refer you to. They are amazing, will interview you and find your unique voice. Let me know if you need support in building out the website content.
What platforms do you create websites on?
A few but not all. My websites are generally built on Squarespace, Wordpress, and Shopify.
I don’t have professional photos, what do I do?
Don’t worry if you don’t have images to use on your website right now. I can refer you to a couple stock image site. Local to Columbus, Ohio? I have an amazing list of photographers that would be happy to help you out!
Where can I obtain further training?
Lots of places! Check out The Digital Hustle Tribe events (maybe even snag a membership for yourself), my blog or ask me about my one-on-one support options.
Do you customize existing sites?
Yes! I handles websites from Wordpress to Squarespace. We’ve edited membership sites to e-commerce.
What payment options do you offer?
Company check and/or credit cards are accepted. Most projects get the flat fee divided into monthly payments. How many payments? Depends on the estimated timeline and client needs.
Do you host websites?
No. Although I’m involved in programs through platforms that could give you a discount, I don’t get a kickback from that. I prefer to be a guide in your website hosting search and will give you my opinion about which company is best.
Do you just work only with local Ohio-based businesses or beyond?
Although I’m located in Columbus, Ohio, I’ve worked with business owners as far as California and Australia. I do this by getting to know your communication preferences. I stay in touch via Zoom video and phone chats and email.
