How To Duplicate A Page On Your Squarespace 7.0 or 7.1 Website
Ever wanted to just be able to duplicate your page on Squarespace to save a ton of time recreating?
Um, yasss! To be honest, when I started designing on Squarespace years ago (before gray hairs started sprouting from my head) I was recreating website pages until I realized they could just be duplicated.
Top two reasons why you’d need to do this:
You need to redesign a page that’s live and getting traffic.
You are creating a page that’s super similar and don’t want to redo 90% of it.

The first thing you’ll need to know is if you’re on Squarespace 7.0 or 7.1.
Knowing which version you’re on will help simplify life. If you’re on 7.0, keep reading. If you’re on 7.1, skip down to that section.
How to duplicate a web page on Squarespace 7.0
Find the page you want to duplicate on the left side panel within “Pages” and check to see if it’s an index page. Index pages are like folders that hold individual pages (aka sections) of a page.
Since you can’t duplicate an index, you’ll need to create the new index and name it.
You’ll then select the page (either solo or within the original index) to duplicate. Click the cogwheel near the page name.
Within the module that opens up, scroll down on the right side to where it says “Duplicate” and “Set As Home Page” - select Duplicate.
Find the new page and rename it, the URL, page navigation title, and page title. Drag and drop the duplicated Squarespace page into the index.
How to duplicate a web page on Squarespace 7.1
The cool thing here is that you don’t have to worry about Index pages. Here’s what you’ll do:
Within the Pages section of your Squarespace admin account, find the page you’d like to duplicate.
Just like on 7.0, click on the cogwheel next to the page.
Navigate down via the right side of the module that opens up. Select the “Duplicate” option.
Make sure your page title, navigation title, and URL are all the way you want them.
Done.
The 7.1 Squarespace version is a little simpler - especially when working with Index pages in 7.0 but both options are fairly simple to learn.
