Website Launch: The Write Planner
Minimal. Simple. Clean.
How’s it going?! I’m Yasmine Robles, the owner of Robles Designs and the founder of Digital Hustle Tribe.
I’m beyond excited to walk you through a really awesome project I finished up recently for CEO, founder, AND creator The Write Planner, Dr. Lee Cordell! Talk about a #BadAssBoss.
We used Squarespace to create an elegant website that matched her amazing products. I always like to try out my clients’ products and these planners are a freakin’ lifesaver. I can’t wait to show you around the site!
Homepage heaven.
Lee had a vision for her planners to translate to her website so we created the same look, feel and format that her planners have. To convey her unique style, she provided me with her own photography and I added her brand elements. Specifically, a lil’ bit of marble here and there, coupled with her minimalist and clean style and the beautiful pink color. Super chic.
Also, note the announcement bar on the top of the page! This is a great strategy to get people’s attention and spread awareness for what’s going on with your business or products. AND for all you hot messes out there… I know of a great deal to get planners for the rest of the year to get you in gear! *hint-hint, nudge-nudge*
As you scroll down the homepage, you’ll get more information while her personal brand is maintained. In the first screenshot, I did some custom coding to get the text in front of her photography. HINT: Taking pictures with some extra area to the left or right of the frame is a great way to make space for text.
We utilized this e-mail collector, which can be directly linked to her e-mail so she can send out a newsletter (Expert tip: you can also do this ALL. ON. SQUARESPACE!!!). Can I get a heck yeah!?
Okay, the last thing I want to show you guys on her homepage: testimonials and social media preview. Testimonials help develop the credibility of your business or product and website visitors always love to see a preview of what you’re up to on Insta. Lee is also absolutely slayin’ the social media game!
My personal favorite…
I love, love, love working on the ‘About Me’ pages for all clients and for The Write Planner specifically, also the ‘Start Planning’ page.
Above is a screenshot from the ‘Start Planning’ page. This section really digs into the question: Why this product!? Lee and I were able to work together in order to help web visitors really understand how special these planners are.
Of course, I’m going to make you guys do a little work and go to her website to check out ALL the amazing features The Write Planner but I want to give a little sneak peek! Hint: There are more inside looks and she focuses on the key attributes of the planners.
And here we have a preview of Lee on her ‘About’ page. Incorporating this allows her personality to shine and visitors can see the heart behind her product. I loved working with her to help make this website come to life.
What else!?
The Write Planner website also has a blog section, all the information you would need to know about The Write Planner community and all the products that are currently for sale! The best thing when designing websites together is that you can make it completely your own but you have all the support you need and an ongoing feedback process. AKA you provide me with the pieces and I’ll put the puzzle together! If you don’t already have a glitter-bombed website, what are you waiting for?
