Website Launch: Lead With Insight
Simple, yet uniquely hers. Check it out!
What’s up, everyone!? Yasmine, here! I’m the owner of Robles Designs and the founder of Digital Hustle Tribe, for those who don’t know. I can’t wait to show you around a recent project using: a Squarespace website designed for Bethany Klynn, the President and Owner of Insight Leadership Counseling. She was an excellent client to work with and I can’t wait to show you what we’ve done. Let’s get goin’!
But first… homepage time.
With this template, the homepage allows visitors to scroll through and see all of the most important content.
People want to see your personality! Being able to match a face to a name is an EXCELLENT way to build immediate trust and showcase your kick-ass personality. By having a headshot on your main page, any visitors will feel a more personal connection by being able to have that “behind the scenes” feel. With her awesome headshot, she can also further establish her color scheme and showcase a little bit of herself.
Sometimes, LESS = MORE. With this website, Bethany is able to beautifully display what she does with just a headline, a sub-headline and ALWAAAAAYS, always, always (did I mention, always?) a call to action (CTA).
Let’s keep scrollin’. The benefits and different opportunities are listed next. Super easy and clear for any visitors to check out! As Bethany further develops her website, this would be an excellent place to add logos for her certifications. This can help break up the text, help out visual learners, and add a little bit of jazz!
Bethany’s About Me section continues on with her classy color scheme and shows another beautiful headshot. She made sure to keep it short and sweet so that the viewers aren’t distracted but we oh, so strategically placed a link if they want more information. The quote underneath is another rockin’ way to break up the text and she killed it picking a powerful and bold one! #LovingIt
You can probably already tell but Bethany is an absolute QUEEN when it comes to knowing the ins and outs of her brand. She came into this project with an idea and we are so happy we could make it come to life. The picture shown above is in check with her color scheme and all we had to do was make some light edits to mute down the colors.
At the bottom, you see the final CTA (Call to action… just in case you forgot). This is so important. I REPEAT: THIS IS SO IMPORTANT!!!!! Never, ever forget your CTA! Just to recap on the pattern of this template:
Contact Us (CTA)
Benefits/Services
About
Quote
Our Approach
Contact Us (CTA)
This the very bottom of the homepage and includes easy access to all of the most important links. LinkedIn is linked with the icon and this would be a great place for any other potential contact methods, potential sponsors, or features.
Contact made easy.
One thing I am #LivingFor with this template is how simple it is for visitors to contact the company. The location is very clear and the information that is asked for is straight forward. There are several options as to where the submissions go to so you don’t miss a thing!
& Don’t you worry… I’ll teach you how to roll on your own!
Yup. Don’t be scared! Soon you will be a mini Squarespace prodigy! Our goal with Bethany’s website was all about setting her up for long-term success. We wanted to be able to set up the website BUT also teach her along the way so she has the independence to switch it up in the future. As of right now, her website is light on content but now she has the tools to add more on her own.
As you guys know, I am all about jazzing it up. I recommend using tricks to break up text like adding testimonials, icons and if you have one, an Instagram feed. We recorded a video on how she can update ALLLLLL the elements, work SquareSpace and change images. Yep, she’s ready to absolutely hit the ground running!
But how do YOU get started!?!
Ok now you’ve seen the magic and you’re thinking this website is something that you think you might be looking for but you’re still not sure where to start. I get it. But, I got you.
Here is a list of all that Bethany provided for us to help us make the website UNIQUELY HERS:
Content (we don’t Copywrite, but we can hook you up with someone who can)
Logo
Headshot
Don’t worry… no more than 3-4.
EXPERT TIP: Horizontal headshots are used for banners and if you are on one side of the frame it is super easy to create a legible text that looks natural!
What we provided:
Set up of the template
Jazzing it up, making sure all the colors match the scheme
Light Image editing/blending
Few stock images
Consistent feedback process
Support to upkeep in the future
If you are still feeling a little unsure about the process, I am here to walk you through it and help you out! I’d love to hear your thoughts and opinions and feel free to ask me ANY questions in the comments below or contact me personally.
